Emergency Department

Our Emergency Department is located on the ground floor of our hospital's main building and provides uninterrupted healthcare services 24/7 in a total area of ​​850 m². The Emergency Department can be accessed through the south entrance of our hospital and includes ambulance and outpatient entrances.

Outpatients are greeted by a triage nurse, assessed according to their medical needs and urgency level, and directed to the appropriate patient care area.

Green Area

The Green Area, located separately from critical care areas, consists of two polyclinics and an observation area with 8 stretchers. In this area, Family Medicine specialists conduct examinations, tests, treatments, and follow-up processes for patients.

Patients are re-evaluated by specialist physicians; based on examination findings, test results, clinical condition, and response to treatment, outpatient treatment is completed or, if necessary, inpatient treatment is planned.

Yellow and Red Zones

Patient evaluation, treatment, and follow-up processes in the Yellow and Red Zones of our Emergency Department are carried out by Emergency Medicine Specialists who work 24/7.

Emergency Medicine specialists working in our Emergency Department also contribute to the specialist training conducted within the Emergency Medicine Department of Başkent University, located in Ankara.

Our Yellow and Red Zones consist of a resuscitation room, an arena system where trauma and critically ill patients are monitored, and an observation area under constant nursing supervision. In these areas, many interventional procedures can be performed according to the clinical needs of the patients, advanced imaging methods can be used, and bedridden patients can be treated. Head ultrasound(USG) procedures can be performed.

Scientific and Up-to-Date Emergency Health Services

Under the leadership of the Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine, Prof. Dr. Betül Gülalp, continuous education programs are conducted within the Department of Emergency Medicine. These programs support the professional development of our healthcare team, while aiming to ensure that the healthcare services provided in our Emergency Department are in line with current scientific developments and international guidelines.

Our Emergency Department provides uninterrupted service 24/7 with its experienced healthcare team, modern physical infrastructure, and patient care areas structured according to different urgency levels.
